This Week’s $59 Kroger Pickup Order

April 7, 2021 | Crystal Paine

I’m currently challenging myself to stick with a $70 budget for our family of six (two adults, two teens, a pre-teen, and a baby. We are also fostering an 8-month-old, but he only has formula through his g-tube right now and that is all covered by state insurance.) This includes almost all of our breakfasts, snacks, and dinners + most household products (toiletries, feminine products, etc.). Jesse and I usually eat lunch at home. The kids have lunch at school.

I’ve been staying at the hospital the last three days — our sweet Baby D had his cleft lip repair surgery on Monday and has been having a few complications as a result of the surgery. So, until things resolve, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital is my new home away from home!

Because of the surgery and a full weekend, I decided to just do a grocery pick-up order from Kroger. The only time we could work it out to do the pickup was literally minutes before we had to leave for the surgery. So Jesse ran by Kroger to pick up our grocery order and I only had a few minutes to set things out, take pictures, and put things away, so these aren’t the best grocery photos I’ve ever posted! But hopefully you get the point! 🙂

By the way, when Jesse went to pick up the groceries, they gave him this bag of samples!

It was filled with yummy snacks that ended up being a blessing while we were waiting in the hospital waiting room during the surgery!
